点评：This meal almost didn’t happen – the restaurant was technically closed during the hours we had planned to eat. But somehow, everything fell into place. When we arrived, it was just us, the chef, and the staff. And yet, it never felt awkward – quite the opposite. The atmosphere was relaxed, intimate, and quietly joyful.
Low-key music played in the background, complementing a dining room filled not with guests but with real human connection. The dynamic among the staff was wonderful to witness. The kitchen manager was seated right beside us, working quietly on his laptop, while our server checked with him to see if the kitchen could accommodate our order. Later, as they all sat down together for their own meal, we overheard laughter and casual conversation, an honest, unforced sense of camaraderie. It was honestly quite touching.
As for the food?
Generous portions and nothing short of excellent. The pommes frites were flawless, crispy on the outside and tender inside. The Caesar salad was spot-on, with just the right amount of tang and a luxurious pile of grated cheese. And the meat, served with proper steak knives, sharp and satisfying – was cooked to absolute perfection. This was one of those rare times when you take a bite, pause, and silently appreciate just how right everything is.
We’ve eaten at many places in town, but this was the best restaurant experience we’ve had so far, not only for the food, but for the feeling. The setting, the staff, the genuine sense of pride and enjoyment in what they do… it all came together.
There was only one downside: I got full. Painfully full. And yet, I still wish I could have eaten more.
