点评：We were staying in Funchal for a week and visited a different restaurant each night. We picked Gazebo due to the recommendation on the Michelin website.
When we arrived (parking is slightly difficult on the street but there is a cheap parking garage under the hospital just a few minutes away) we were friendly greeted outside by a member of the team. The restaurant is cosy with only a few tables in what seems to be an old mansion type house. Apart from the large open kitchen you get the feeling to be in someones large living room. The service was absolutely outstanding.
They have two menus to choose from, we picked the 9-course menu with a matching wine pairing. The food is outstandingly delicious and presented. The wines are superb and explained in detail.
Overall it was a rememberable experience that we can only highly recommend to anyone visiting Funchal.
As a sidenote: Upon leaving we had the chance to talk to the chef and his lovely wife for a while and this made the perfect experience even more special.
