Great way to see whales & dolphins!

点评：We did the whale & dolphin watching trip & it was brilliant! We met at the marina in Funchal & we were given life jackets & a briefing before getting on the boat. The boat is new & very fast, which allowed us to cover a big area.
Mark & Anna are very knowledgeable about the marine life & they gave us lots of info about the pilot whales that we saw & the various species of dolphins that can be found in Madeira. We weren’t lucky enough to see dolphins but there was a huge pod of pilot whales that was spread out in small groups. We were able to spend quite a lot of time watching the whales & then we sailed back slowly along the coast.
The boat is a rib so you are very close to the water & you get to see the animals close up. Pilot whales are protected so you can’t get in the water with them but some of them came very close to the boat & provided some lovely photo opportunities. I have GoPro camera & I was able to take a video underwater from the boat.
We thoroughly enjoyed the trip & would definitely recommend it.
