Amazing service and bike from Rent a Scooter. Amazing Island to ride round and over!

点评：This was the third year in a row to Madeira, and third time using Rent a Scooter. What can I say; apart from brilliant bike, service and price. Very happy and have booked our fourth trip to Madeira in Jan 26 and hope to use Rent a Scooter again in 2026.
Hired a Honda ADV 750 for the week, which is great for storage and two up riding. Same bike for the 3rd time so very used to it. It might not look pretty or be my choice of bike in the UK but this suited us perfectly. Storage under seat, plus big topbox. Has enough power to keep up and pass anything if wanted, very comfy and easy to ride. Only thing I would say is that it is a big and fairly heavy so beware parking on the many cambered roads, but all in all my preferred bike on the island. Plus... very good keeping us out of the elements over the mountains with hand guards and the 'scooter style' seating. Kept us very dry in some of the errr challenging conditions over Fanal Forest and coming down to Porto Moniz.
Riding in Madeira is absolutely amazing and sometimes very technical with the hair pin corners, frequent change in weather and conditions and steepness of roads, but such an amazing experience. Respect the bike and road and all will be fine. The etiquette is really good and very simple to get around.
Take warm clothes/waterproofs and gloves if going over the mountains in January (although probably need them in summer due to the changes in weather over the mountains).
I cannot stress how good the riding experience is, and my partner loves it, although she is not always keen on the low walls on some of the winding roads. B))
Highly recommend Rent A Scooter (Jose always very helpful) and highly recommend year on year trips to Madeira.
