A-STAY Antwerp的点评
点评：All in all this was the right hotel for the price and trying to save a little money whilst staying in the central part of Antwerp next to the central train station (diamond district).
Positives. The room was clean. The breakfast was much better than I expected. The room was quiet. The bed was comfortable. Nice, helpful people. They do try. There is secure, shared parking garage (hotel next to them). You might check out the local garages for a little less cost though (5 Euros/night cheaper). Is the hotel great? No, but it's not bad. You get what you pay for and that's just A-OK.
Negatives. They try so hard to be tech savvy that it is actually an annoyance. They spent more time trying to get things resolved when they should just go back to providing more traditional service. The codes don't work... have to spend time resolving that. Check in was supposed to be streamlined... it was not.
The rooms are set up where there is no privacy when showering or using the toilet. Opaque glass walls. You can hear and almost see everything. No chance of being the early riser and taking a shower because your partner will hear and SEE you from less than a meter away.
They insisted on spoken English at one time when we spoke Dutch/Flemish. Really? Antwerp is a Flemish city and Flemish-speaking people should be able to communicate in the language of the area/city.
