点评:Let me start by saying that I had been to this place before and ordered the same dish, shrimp Pad Thai, and it was delicious. My sister lives next door, literally, and orders there multiple times a month, which made today's experience all the more shocking.
My sister ( whom they see ALL THE TIME), my father and I showed up for lunch and ordered. Their food was delicious and my Pad Thai was too, until I got to a part of the plate where the noodles, the shrimp and the egg were all bathed in something that tasted , well frankly, rotten, and smelled like the stables. I was very hungry but absolutely could not go on eating, it was clearly something that was damaged ( there is a heat wave going on). I let the waiter know that while the dish was delicious on the one side of the plate, something was seriously wrong on the other and he clearly thought it was funny. He laughed about it with the cook in Thai behind the counter, and she with her voice raised from behind there told me in French ' Not to eat it if had a bad taste'.
My companions offered me some of their food, and when they cleared our plates we had finished everything else, except my dish of course, which I had eaten about a fifth of.
When the bill came, we were billed 26 CHF for the dish. No one apologized, offered a substitution or a rebate of any kind. When we said we thought it was strange ( we did not raise our voices or were unfriendly), they continued to smile and laugh and said they were not the manager. They said the manager was downstairs, but never offered to fetch the manager.
It was one of the worst customer experience in my life. I dine all over the world. And I grew up here, I know not to expect the US treatment, which would have been immediate replacement, and apology and some kind of monetary action if I still wasn't satisfied.
It was insane, given the fact as well that I was here with a regular customer!!!
