Location is 4/5 bc we had to walk for 30m uphill as we were staying outside the walls of Assisi at the base of the Basilica of St Francis. It was a literal trek to get up to this pizzeria. But worth it.
Excellent pizza. Full stop.
I had the Melanzana with aubergine, ham, blistered tomatoes, and ricotta. Perfect, silky aubergine paired so well with the shaved ham which was there for the hint of flavor and also the aesthetic (little rosettes). What particularly impressed me about this pizza (besides the ethereal dough) was the balance of flavors. Not too salty, and nothing overwhelmed. Every bite was bliss.
The other adult had a bufalina. Also good!
And both adults had an absolutely smashing Moretti amber on draft, which elevated the pizzas.
The juniors had two baby margherite, also excellent.
Everyone was happy. And the meal capped off with some polpette con nutella, which the junior set appreciated.
The only minus: one of the servers was a little short with us at times. But I’ll grant that it was Easter evening, and perhaps they’d rather have been elsewhere, so can’t even say much about that.

两位大人点了一杯绝对惊艳的莫雷蒂琥珀生啤，让披萨的口感更上一层楼。
小朋友点了两份小份玛格丽特披萨，也同样美味。
大家都很开心。最后，这顿饭以一份花生酱肉丸子结束，小朋友非常喜欢。
唯一的缺点是：有个服务员有时对我们有点不耐烦。不过我承认，那天是复活节晚上，他们或许更愿意去别的地方，所以对此也没什么可说的。
