Another Exceptional Trip with Selected Tours Italy!

点评：My husband and I just returned from an extraordinary two weeks in Puglia, Italy, to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. This was the second time we have worked with Ana and the top-notch team at Selected Tours Italy, and, once again, we had an outstanding experience.
The focus of our trip this time was the Puglia region, which is relatively unknown but should be on everyone’s “don’t miss” list for Italy! Ana had recommended Puglia (the “heel of the boot”) to us a while ago, and we are so grateful she did. We went “off the beaten path” a bit for this trip, and we loved it.
Puglia was fantastic – beautiful, centuries-old towns like Monopoli, with its picturesque harbor; Alberobello, with its mystical-looking trulli; the quaint village of Locorotondo; the striking, white-washed hilltop city of Ostuni; and the magnificent city of Lecce, with its baroque architecture and dozens of beautiful cathedrals. Puglia has amazing coastlines, authentic, family-run olive groves and trattorias, memorable masserias, gorgeous landscapes and super-friendly people – all with fewer tourists, which we loved. What a special place; if you can, go to Puglia! (En route to Puglia, we also did an overnight in Matera, which, with its hauntingly beautiful and other-wordly sassi, is one of the most stunning cities we have ever visited. It was fantastic.)
From start to finish, the STI team was exceptional, working closely with us to ensure our trip was everything we hoped it would be. We initially met with Ana and Laura via video call to discuss our goals and preferences for the trip. They provided numerous thoughts and recommendations, and then came back to us with a detailed proposal (for no charge) that worked with our budget. They listened to us (gently guiding us so that our trip would meet our expectations), and adjusted the proposal accordingly, always making sure the itinerary was exactly what we wanted. They were always helpful and responsive to any questions or thoughts we had throughout the process—including a few last-minutes changes we requested.
From transportation (STI recommended using private drivers, which we loved), accommodations (all terrific) and private tour guides (exceptional) to special side trips, excursions and dining suggestions – including a surprise, truly breathtaking private boat trip and spectacular lunch in Polignano a Mare they helped me plan for my husband on our anniversary -- no detail was overlooked or too small. The STI team makes every effort to ensure your trip is completely personalized – no “cookie-cutter itineraries” here – and they work hard to make your experience carefree. You can fully immerse yourselves in your vacation and enjoy every moment, knowing that the STI team is there, 24/7 via WhatsApp (which they set up for us), if you need them.
But even more than all that, their enthusiasm, extensive knowledge, and continual efforts to make sure we were 100 percent satisfied, were remarkable. They genuinely care about their clients, and it shows! After working with them now twice, they are more like extended family to us – and we are already planning our next trip to Italy, with the STI team by our sides every step of the way!
