点评:We were greeted at the Casa Gió by Nando Lauria, who from the minute we arrived made us feel welcome. As group of 4, we decided to go for the taster menu of meat. Stefano was our sommelier for the evening and he was able to guide us through the vast array of wines from this region and what a good job he did.
The Staff at Casa Gió were amazing, they all shared the same passion for the food and drink that they served, this is all credit to them.
As the food arrived, we were blessed to have Ambre, our waitress for the night. She was able to explain the the ingredients of our food in good detail. I am not often left speechless by food, but there was a comfortable silence as we ate our meal. The quality of ingredients from this region and seasonal accompliments were truly a marriage made in heaven.
We were blessed to have Chef Enzo Manfellotti attend our table after service, whom further demonstrated his passion for food in explaining the dishes in detail, even with this insight, I would struggle to achieve anything close to this in my own kitchen. The man is a genius in his own right. Thank you Chef.
End of service, there was no rush, Nando gathered his team and we could clearly see that they all shared his belief in providing excitement through the dining experience, this was a night I will not forget in a long time and was made ever more special by the relaxed environment of this beautiful historic Town. Well done Casa Gió, I am looking forward to my next visit.
