点评:What a way to kick off these reviews because this place was nothing short of spectacular. Walking through the streets of Sorrento at night you are lured in every direction by the smells of great food, laughter of great people or maybe just the guy standing outside his restaurant with his menu trying to get you to sit down.
Either way you are lured in a lot of directions with food choices and where to eat. With a decision made we set our heads down and walked straight to Storico8 and we were not disappointed.
Storico8 is small mom and pop place with no more than a dozen tables. We waited probably about 15 minutes, which is no big deal to me, but if you do plan to go in the summer, be prepared for this.
Once seated we were waited on with a great waiter with whom we had a few laughs with. Guided by their menu we opted for the in house made fresh focaccia. This focaccia was the single best bread I have had in my entire life. It was warm, drizzled with olive oil and some how was the perfect outer crisp followed by a warm and soft inner dough. It was just sublime.
For the main course, I do have to apologize as I did not write down exactly what the meal was called, but it has ricotta, meat and was a sort of lasagna looking thing (see photo below). Whatever it was called was just pure artwork in the form of food. My fork cut through the pasta like a hot knife though butter and the ricotta was so light it felt like it melted in your mouth with every bite. It was such a light and delicate meal. The taste is something that is hard to put into words.

至于主菜,我得道歉,因为我没记下这道菜的具体名称,但它有乳清干酪和肉,看起来有点像千层面(见下图)。不管它叫什么,都纯粹是以食物形式呈现的艺术品。我的叉子像热刀切黄油一样切开意面,乳清干酪非常轻盈,每一口都感觉像在嘴里融化了一样。这是一顿如此清淡精致的餐点。其美味难以言表。
