点评:This was a wild-card selection on a night when we ignored our pre-researched options and just wandered round the streets. It's Peruvian-inspired and smaller than most restaurants in the area. The interior is effectively decorated with artificial plants and leaf-themed wallpaper. The music was a bit intrusive initially but a more natural buzz ensued as more people arrived. The only server was wonderful and proved that you don't need to speak the same language to communicate, you just need intuition and common-sense.
We really enjoyed a trio of starters that comprised a fish ceviche, prawns served on sweet potato and octopus skewers. More stunningly tender octopus followed, this time on silky and aromatic mashed potatoes. But the standout dish was salmon sashimi served with a passion fruit custard - the inventive complexity of the sauce was exceptional.
My meal was accompanied by two generous glasses of Verdejo white. Anyone travelling from the UK (as we were) will be amazed to learn that each glass cost just EUR 2.50!
