We hired E-scooters during our holiday to explore the island and it started a holiday nightmare. One of the scooters was faulty leading to a member of our group falling off and seriously hurting herself as the scooter collapsed in half mid ride. A scooter we were told had been thoroughly checked over before we left.
We spoke to the man in the shop (Maxim Ben Chauouch) as she went off to hospital, who appeared worried and understanding, only to find that he was later rude, dishonest and aggressive when we challenged the safety of the scooter including throwing a contract and business card in my face. He charged us €250 for the ‘damage’ to the scooter, completely disregarding the faulty scooter that caused to my family member serious injury.
If you want to avoid A&E on holiday, steer clear of urban ape. They are death traps that are not given safety checks as described.
