点评:Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had in a long time. We always stay at five star hotels when we travel, and we travel a lot, but this hotel didn’t meet that standard of a 5 star hotel at all.
From the beginning, things felt off:
- Taxis can’t stop in front of the hotel, so we had to carry our luggage across a busy street.
- To reach the lobby, you have to walk through a restaurant, which felt awkward and confusing.
Our room also had several issues:
- A constant bad smell came from the bathroom drains. Housekeeping had to close the sink drains every day to try to contain the odor.
- The room was not soundproof-we could hear all outside noise and had to use earplugs to sleep.
- Food and service were disappointing: My husband ordered a medium-rare steak but was served three thin, overcooked slices of beef. Despite informing the hotel about our dietary restrictions in advance, mistakes were still made. Breakfast service was chaotic we’ve had to wave down staff to place an order, and even then, the food was often wrong.
- The rooftop pool area was not as advertised: It appeared nice in photos but was very small in reality. There were only a few sunbeds, and they were always occupied. The area didn’t feel relaxing.
- At checkout, no one asked how our stay was, which summed up the overal lack of care.
During the stay we had lunch at the nearby Miramar Hotel and immediately noticed the difference: Better service., better atmosphere, everything felt more polished and professional.
To end our disappointment earlier, we even looked into leaving early but couldn’t find an earlier flight.
To summarize - no matter what the listing says, this is not a five star hotel at all and I am surprised about at amount of positive comments.
