点评：I am walked past so many and not realised this restaurant was here... but now I am glad I found it as I enjoyed a lovely evening with a friend for dinner.
The price is high for the area but realistic and reasonable for a fine dining experience. And it was a lovely fine dining experience that was accessible and without the usual snobbery that can sometimes occur at such places.
The staff were accommodating especially since my German is lacking, they were able to talk about the food in English which was very informative, whilst being very friendly and suitably attentive. The chef had a nice chat the end of the meal where I asked far too many questions about things in the dishes.
The food varied from interesting to average to amazing with a nice balance of choice between the two menus (one of which is completely vegetarian which is great)! Each dish was beautifully presented and it took my palate on a fun journey with interesting flavours and varied textures.
The dishes did get progressively better as the evening passed peaking at the end with a palate cleanser of spiced carrot foam over lemon melissa marinaded orange and the dessert which was simply exquisite... who thought lettuce sauce worked so well with the mango and goat yoghurt... with a twill made of something surprisingly tart and the other chocolate dessert full of things I normally avoid like fig and walnut prepared so perfectly that I really enjoyed fig for the first time. And the sweets at the end, a macaron, petit four and a delightful dark chocolate with blackberry filling get the highest Asian compliment of... it was sweet but not too sweet... i.e. perfect dessert. NGL I wish they would sell their chocolate... I would buy boxes of the stuff.
I would definitely come back again to try the other things on the menu I didn't try this time.
