点评：The first thing that hits you when you arrive in this little restaurant is the atmosphere. Maybe it is the Italian joie-de-vivre or the genuine charm and camaraderie of the all-male staff team, but it is palpable and resonated deeply with us both. Being Irish, we appreciate qualities such as these.
Service was marvellously animated. We got the full Italian serving of gesticulations when words were not enough. These guys do not just provide great service, they put on a performance. It is neither forced nor fake. It is clear as day that they love what they do, and are very very good at what they do. Despite all the animation and attention, it never seemed too much. I watched them greet and take orders at other tables, and it was clear that they had emotional intelligence in spades, because they knew when to put the brakes on their effusiveness. That takes self awareness and discipline.
Our meal started with a bruschetta which we shared. It was perfectly seasoned with garlic and herbs with olive oil.
Our main courses of lasagne (divine, 10/10) and pasta alla carbonara (best I ever tasted) were generous in portion size and perfectly complemented with chianti and Pinot grigio respectively.
The €62 bill seemed ridiculously under-priced and we came away regretting that we did not book a longer stay in Baden-Baden.
