点评：If you walk in here and feel suddenly and inexplicably bored, you are in the right place. There is a library-like hush to the whole room. A potential funeral director stands in front of a large book. She needs to find our reservation. After a frown and furrowed brow at seeing nothing, then some page flipping, a reservation is found, It was starting to feel like we were doomed.
The menu was presented, and a wine list. Reading, looking around, you feel like you are being sold timelessness, but you are just getting tired. There is a list of old favorites on the menu, with no dish you haven't seen before. Old art and dull furniture are competing to give you other words for dusty. As I was eating, I pushed an under seasoned potato away to get to a heavily smoky tasting lamb, and my thoughts wandered into wildfires and climate change, and how there won't be any snow up here in a few years. It was making me wonder whether it's all just one last gasp from a dying time, the resort, the restaurant, maybe both.
My wife caught my attention, and I relayed my thoughts to her. She mentioned that we had not seen a service person for about forty minutes. We were out of wine. We had long ago finished our plates. They were busy they say. My bad. Half the tables were empty. How busy could you be? Never mind, I thought. Time to go!
