点评：We visited The Brown Hare to celebrate a special birthday with a party of six, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming as soon as we walked in, and despite the restaurant being very busy, we were greeted quickly and shown to our table without any delays. The décor and layout created a relaxed yet vibrant feel, which made it a lovely setting for our celebration.
I opted for the sirloin steak, which was cooked exactly as I had asked and was beautifully tender and full of flavour. The peppercorn sauce was rich and complemented the steak perfectly, and the side salad was fresh and crisp. Other members of our group ordered a variety of dishes, and everyone commented on how tasty and well-prepared their meals were. The portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming, and everything came out piping hot. Considering how busy the restaurant was, the speed at which the food arrived was very impressive.
The service was another highlight of the evening. The staff were attentive, polite, and clearly working very hard to make sure all guests were looked after. Drinks were topped up regularly, requests were dealt with promptly, and nothing felt like too much trouble. It’s always nice when you feel genuinely cared for rather than just another table to serve, and that was definitely the case here.
Overall, The Brown Hare delivered on every level — food, service, and atmosphere. Our birthday celebration felt special, and we all left feeling very satisfied. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for both casual meals and special occasions, and we’ll certainly be returning in the future.
