点评：Me and my friends all work in industry ourselves. Sunday service is one of our favourite times to go for obvious reasons… the discount! The majority of the staff are lovely. We acknowledge them every time— always extremely hard working and kind. However, this week I and my friends were very disappointed with the service.
Of course, we work in the industry. I have a personal understanding of how working in a busy bar is. Me and my friends went in for our industry discount only to be told because it is a bank holiday, there is no discount. Although this has never happened before, disappointed, we understood. My friend then asked for a 2 for 1 cocktail .. only to be given the same answer. Explaining that this is a 2 for 1 cocktail (asking for 2… for the price of 1), we AGAIN got the same answer.
It was not the answer that upset me but more the reaction from the bartender. They were rude, dismissive and cold to a simple question. As I said, I completely understand how working in hospitality can be stressful and tedious but the reaction we were given was completely unacceptable. If we got a simple “Sorry we don’t do industry discount on bank holidays anymore” and a “Sorry this cocktail isn’t on 2 for 1 anymore.” we would have been understanding. Instead, we received a very abrasive and rude response which left me and my friends quite shocked.
Revolution Preston has some wonderful staff and I am sure they all know who they are. Always friendly and helpful with 10/10 service. However, this interaction left a sour taste in my mouth. Very upsetting. Will not be visiting in the near future.
