Our New Favourite Indian Restaurant in Stony Stratford

点评：I've lived in Stony for around 12 years but last night was the first time that my husband and I decided to try a curry at this lovely place. We had actually planned on going to one of the other Indian restaurants in town but after learning that it had a very poor hygiene rating, we looked into who had 5 stars - and therefore excellent hygiene - and Eastern Paradise was one of only two in the town that had achieved this.
We were warmly greeted and shown to a nice table in the window. The owner made a point of coming over and introducing himself properly. (His name is Abdul.) We told him that this was our first time dining here and he said if we needed any advice on the dishes to just let him know and he could talk us through the menu.
We chose the Tandoori Lamb Chops & Prawn Puree to start then I had one of the House Specials of Lahori Lamb and Rich had a Chicken & Lentil Dansak (Balti) that was also served with a light, fluffy naan.
Every dish was beautifully spiced and distinctively 'different' in flavour! My favourite had to be the Lahori Lamb which was diced and minced lamb with green peppers, onions and a Bengal chili hot sauce. It really had a kick to it which we both loved!
It makes a nice change to go to an Indian restaurant that knows it's spices - and isn't afraid to use them! Over the years we've visited other Indian restaurants around the area where the sauces seem to be the same for every dish - and the same red colour - but Hallelujah - Not here at Eastern Paradise - which is now our new favourite Indian Restaurant in town.
Abdul, and indeed all the staff were just lovely - warm, hospitable, knowledgeable, attentive and we were treated to a glass of Baileys as we were first time visitors. A very nice touch indeed.
Love, love love the food here and we will definitely be back for another mid week curry soon!
