点评：This place could be so much better. They spend money on all those bench seats ..but there is zero atmosphere. Never any music. Over priced. It should be a warm village pub but it lacks the vibe that the cuckoo has and Gordon arms. It lacks warmth. Those blue cold white lights instead of warm white. )there is a mix of lights, it’s a lack of detail to warm. No music. The new waiting staff are doing well, the girls are friendly. but the bar staff are sharp, takes nothing to smile. I was barked at with and ‘can’t do’ attitude not a ‘can do’ which if it was town or cheap place you would let slide but it’s expensive! It’s the most expensive place I o ow of that’s a ‘pub’. £50 for small starter and 2 burgers, classic frozen cheap chips, nothing special and was told starters come as the same time as mains in garden???? It wasn’t busy at all, priced the same but couldn’t be arsed to bring starters out separately ??? It’s poor service and bad business. When the starters are over £10 ?? You can imagine what happened …we are but in man vs food and can’t eat all that food in one go so didn’t bother having starters. On principles 3 people I was with didn’t eat . Yeah we could have gone inside but it was freezing with the air con. It seems very much about the staff, the management what suits them, they won’t do XYZ …the few old timers I see in there that are regular with 3 pints of bitter seem to get priority as the staff did not serve in order. I live on church drive and I never go because of the service and price. The last time the land ladies fella was on the snow (obvious btw) and saying that it warrants the prices because there was a house that sold for a million… what a fool he made out of himself
Used to go to the quiz but stopped because they reserved tables for squash drinkers. It’s a shame that after a mini refurb I’d hope to see an improvement but food was ok but I am being as open and honest in the hope they may make improvements.
