embarassing and disappointing to say the least. Staff need so much more knowledge and training on Equal |Rights Laws.

点评:I am 84 years of age, and disabled. Use a mobility scooter to get around. My daughter tries to take me out away from home at weekends where possible. WIth the lovely weather thought a visit here would be good. She has to take apart the scooter to get into her car, and put together for me to use when we arrive. Not an easy job for someone into their fifties. So we arrived nice and early soon after they opened today, with a her youngest chlld and his friend. We were all looking forward to it and intended using their cafe to purchase lunch for the four of us. My daughter is not a paid carer - just helps and looks after me on a voluntary basis. So she was refused entry as a carer as she did not have any carers 'ID. Me - being in the scooter, pretty old and vulnerable obviously did not count. She pointed out that it was illegal to have different rules for paid carers to voluntary ones. She said she would pay full amount to enter, but gave fair warning that would then sue to get money back under equal rights law. At that point we were told that none of us could go in and we were barred. So disappointing to me, and the teenagers, and embarrassing for us all. Not sure how they get away with this
