点评:This cafe looks lovely from the outside. I was expecting a quaint French-style boulangerie with charming service, but the reality is quite different once you get inside. I came at 8.45am on a Saturday morning. When I entered the cafe, it was empty, so I asked the female server if it was open. She replied that they open at 8am but she wasn't serving yet because "the pavement outside is being cleaned". That's a bizarre reason if any to not serve customers...why would the pavements outside being cleaned be a reason not to open for service?! This is just the norm in every city. The guy cleaning the pavements was a long way down the street, and had long finished with the pavement outside the cafe.
The server said I could wait inside until she was ready to start serving. I assumed she meant a few minutes, but nope, I spent a good 7-8 minutes stood there like a complete lemon in the boiling hot cafe, but she still didn't open for service. She didn’t say anything this whole time and proceeded to add a load of pastries to the window display. Unfortunately nowhere else nearby was open at this time, so I decided to wait it out. That was until another customer strolled in and she started chatting merrily to him, and allowed him to push in front of me. I walked out.
The pastries looked miserable and like cheap supermarket-bought stodge. There seems to be nothing authentically French about this place!
