Irish Family History Centre的点评
点评：We too had a terrible experience with the Irish Family History Center at EPIC. My wife had some solid information but the "genealogist" didn't seem to have any resources or knowledge beyond using Ancestry which we can do at home and already had everything from. She kept getting people confused as she tried to look things up and my wife had to keep correcting her about who was whom in her family tree. Then, for some reason she started mumbling and looking at records from the United States, which we already had. Eventually she made some off hand comment that an ancestor might have been born out of wedlock. When asked why she thought that, all she could reply was that "it was just a feeling." We think it was because she misread one of the dates on a census record, but who knows. A careful follow up showed a clear marriage record from before the birth, so this was just negligent and bad practice.
We did the whole hour long session and learned absolutely nothing and were insulted to boot. The EPIC museum is okay, but the genealogy service feels like a scam. Save your money and time and go elsewhere for research. I wish I'd looked at these other negative reviews before booking.
