点评：Working our way around Italian restaurants in Glasgow we felt Sarti looked authentic and like a good shout. The table for 2 was tiny, we struggled to get our starters all on the table. The waiter removed the candle and salt seller to make room. The menu was huge and felt like far too many options for somewhere so small. The place felt tired, the floor was worn, our plates looked like they had been used a lot and one of our glasses was chipped. The toilet looked tired as well with 3 toilets and only 2 working with one of the taps running constantly and the bin overflowing with used paper towels.
The starters were nice, the focaccia was a flat bread with focaccia seasoning but was lovely.
When asked if tomato could be removed from the cannelloni we were told no so the dish must have been pre-made. The boar ravioli with the ragu was very salty and I struggled to finish it where in other restaurants I'm often licking the plate. The one saving grace was the ice cream which was in fact gelato and was lovely! That made us feel better about the whole experience. In the time we spent there we were served by 3 different waiters and not one of them asked if our meal was ok. The place felt very busy and a bit cramped at times. We decided to leave to have a coffee elsewhere which is a first. There are better Italian eateries in Glasgow and I would always recommend piccolo mondo and Celinos and I think the outstanding aspect is the service, the waiters and staff in these other places are very attentive and don't appear rushed off their feet despite the places always being busy. I don't know if we were in Italy and they had good service if the place wouldn't be quaint and rustic. However the food wasn't anything outstanding. Also when the bill came there was an automatic charge of 12.5% which is not a tip we would have given all things considered. We were disappointed and won't be back.
