Hollywood Bowl Dunfermline的点评
点评：Went at 9pm and was turned away from bowling as it was "too late to put a lane on" (even though you could still book one online?)
Let my kids play the arcades instead which they enjoyed then had a game of pool which I found pricey at £1.49 (everywhere else I've played has always been 50p) I wouldn't mind paying extra if you were getting decent queues and chalk but it's just your bog standard squint queues and barely there chalk.
Went back the following night to return to the arcades at 9.10 and the door was locked from the outside. Spoke to a couple waiting with their kids and they said they'd been there for a while and the staff kept walking past looking at them. They'd had a lane booked.
We all got in at 9.15 when someone was leaving, so the staff had clearly disabled the incoming sensor on the door. I overheard 2 staff members talking about the family who'd been waiting to get in. One of them said "they can't play". The other said "they've booked it online" at which point the 1st guy sighed and said "fine". I was happy for the family but thought it was rubbish they were getting to start a game whilst we were turned away the previous night even though we wanted to start 20 mins earlier in the night.
We went to get change for the arcade but the change machines were off. When I spoke to a member of staff he said "nah it's no goin back on. We're done coz it was busy"
There's clearly not a lot of staff on in the place and it is busy so I imagine the staff have to start the cleaning process at 9ish. If that's the case, they should either hire more staff, pay the staff to stay past 10pm to give them time to clean or have last admission at 8.30.
