点评:Absolutely dreadful excluding the first "plate" of sourdough with butter and crab. The shitake doughnut was so tasteless I asked my husband what it was supposed to be? I have used dried Chinese shitake mushrooms for years and they have a very strong flavour, so this was really surprising and had an unpleasant texture. The sesame prawn toast - well this was the third plate using "dough" as a filler - a thick slice of white bread with sesame seeds, avocado and topped with Bonito tuna flakes or Katsuobushi as they like to call it, but where were the prawns??? My husband hated this and I only ate less than 1/4 of it because I didn't want any more bread and again it was tasteless. The soy pork belly was absolutely disgusting and had a horrible taste - possibly burnt soy sauce - to it and the smell of uric acid rising from cutting it open was very off-putting as well. Finally the wagyu short was extremely expensive for a piece of over-cooked roast beef measuring 7cm x 5cm that you could only say it was beef, but was it actually wagyu - there was no way of telling, except we have eaten wagyu numerous times and I guess not. Cheap ingredients, over-charming staff until the waiter realised we actually had a palate and weren't being taken in with the charm. Never again and as a result with never visit any of Stuart Ralston's restaurants in future.
