点评：We were grateful to be seated after an error on our part with the booking. Seated quickly and left to choose our meal. After about 30 mins I had to approach the bar to ask for our order to be taken, apology given and an explanation of being short staffed given but someone would be over shortly. After another long wait, same member of staff was informed we were still waiting. Others arriving after us had been waited on, had drinks…
Our order was taken, a sharing board, 2 soft drinks and table water.
After being seated for an hour still no drinks, approached the bar to be told drinks order in a queue- we offered to take the table water but told they would bring it across.
Food arrived quickly, thankfully as we were very hungry by then.
Food was delicious, freshly prepared, as described. Particularly enjoyed the egg & potato dish: full of flavour with a gentle spice in the background. Meal was finished quickly as we had to do some shopping: again no attention to our table. No one checked if our meal was okay, if we required anything else, I had to approach the bar to pay the bill, again no checking if all was okay.
This was such a shame, the service really let Longa down today. Restaurant was not overly busy, seemed to have at least 4 staff front of house with an extra running food every now and again, ( 2 out of the 3 diners have hospitality experience hence the comment) but obviously didn’t know what was going on in the kitchen.
