点评：We recently stayed here for a night as we we had booked the aqueduct canoe excursion. This is slightly out of town but that’s a good thing, it’s still only a ten minute drive away. The place is fabulous, it’s oldy worldy like stepping back in time but I love that, it’s got genuine character. It was spotless, clearly well looked after.
Big comfy bed too! The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. It’s got a big car park and a lovely outside area which is ideal on a dry day because the view is spectacular. We had tea here as well and the food was amazing, proper home cooked and fresh, with plenty to choose from and big hearty portions. The Jewell in the crown has to be Anne the landlady, who is also responsible for all of that home cooked food (wish we’d had the pie as many recommend that!) Anne is everything a landlady should be, she couldn’t do enough for us but it was clear she is the same with everyone. Breakfast in the morning was also lovely, with plenty of options and all fresh. Highly recommend this place, I would definitely come back!
