点评：After a lovely trip for the Emmerdale tour, we decided late lunch would be good and would try the Stable pub. Big mistake.
Sunday lunch sounded appealing and at £13.50 a bargain.
We ordered and waited. The couple on next table received theirs and sent it back as was cold. The food was taken back to the hotel across the courtyard uncovered and the returned after being heated under a cloche. We were now apprehensive about receiving our meals, but surely it wouldn’t be cold!!
I had roast beef or that was what it was suppose to be it looked more like it had been on a bacon slicer, cold tasteless. The only warm think on the plate was the roast potatoes, which were hard and appeared to have been heated over and over again.
The food was served on cold plates.
We were informed that the food we received was exactly what was served across the courtyard in the hotel, which I found highly unlikely.
The standard was absolutely appalling.
To be fair to the pub manager, elements of the issue was totally out of their control. But refunds should have been provided immediately and if food was that poor they should not serve it.
