点评：Lovely little pub. Excellent atmosphere for a Saturday night.
We had booked a table earlier in the day and lucky we did as the small dining area was full.
Lovely welcome. Ordered food and drink at the bar.
Notified of a little delay for the pie for my partner which was no problem.
I had the burger which was lovely, hot, tasty and a very good portion size!
Unfortunately, my partner’s pie was cold in the centre, he also tells me his mash was not hot either but he’d eaten that. He was unable to eat the cold pie so alerted a member of staff at the bar. No one up until this food had checked if the food was okay.
They could not have dealt with the situation better to be honest.
Told us they would refund straight away, apology from both front of house members of staff, they warmed it up, they offered a drink on the house which we declined as were driving.
It happens sometimes, but the professionalism in dealing with a problem was what stood out, thank you for not making it awkward, for being friendly and accommodating.
Not sure we’ll be back for good but I’ve been here a few times for drinks before or after going to the Blue Orange Theatre across the road so I’ll continue this.
