点评：Disappointing meal. This is an attractive pub, nicely decorated and a good use of lighting makes it cosy and welcoming .
The food was the disappointment. In fairness my companions steak and chips were generally fine but my vegetarian option of Portabello Mushroom and Stilton Burger was dreadful.
For starters it was just a thin slice of mushroom smeared with a slight bit of Stilton. I had rather imagined that it would be a proper burger made up of mushroom, breadcrumbs and stilton. However even worse were the 'chips'. These were of some indefinable vegetable which had been thinly sliced, massively over cooked and then showered in salt. It seems very odd to drench them in salt before serving them particularly as many people are on salt restricted diets. Anyway suffice it to say they were inedible. Finally the odd baked bean had either been added to, or found its way into the onion mix. The beans were not a portion, not mentioned in the description and I wondered if they were meant as some sort of subtle garnish or had found their way there by accident. All in all most unpleasant.
Which is a huge shame as the pub looks very attractive.
