点评：Lovely little place in quiet side street in beautiful Burford. Our room was a good size and at the front of the building. Be aware there are no staff on sight over night ( which was not a problem for us) and we were given a key to the front door. Everything was very clean and the bathroom was a good size with bath, shower and plenty of hot water. The room had a large king size bed and linen was white and fresh although the bed was a bit soft for our taste. As with all buildings in the town it is old so the floors are charmingly wonky and some door frames low as you would expect. Our room was over the restaurant and you could hear conversations from below very clearly, again to be expected in an old place such as this so do bear this in mind.
We went out for the evening so cannot comment on the restaurant food but when we returned at 9.30pm (on a Wednesday in mid January) the place was all shut up and so our room was very quiet for the rest of the evening.
Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of cooked meals. We both had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs which was delicious with a generous helping of salmon.
It was very good value at £90 for the room including breakfast (I booked through Booking.com). We found street parking right outside easily (although I suspect this would not be the case later in the year). The only reason it does not have 5 stars from us is the soundproofing issue which although did not really affect our stay might do so for others.
