One of the best tea shops we have been in for ages.

点评：Stopped here for lunch last weekend while in Hucknall. Bit of a hard place to find. After leaving Hucknall you head out to Eastwood. As you tour along the main road, just before you turn left towards Eastwood at the bend in the road, there is pub on the right. Turn to the pub but don't got into the car park, take the road to the right. It looks like a single dirt track. You need to travel along there for about a mile before turning left towards a large barn conversion with the ruins of an old priory behind it. There is a large car park to your right as you enter.
We found a table in the corner as there was a large pre-wedding party there. There were tables with reservations on them but it was nearly full when we arrived. For somewhere in the middle of nowhere it must be popular with the locals. We had the gamekeepers platter for two with a soft drink for my wife and a pot of tea for me.
The food was excellent and the cakes for dessert were a real treat. Some of the best food we had eaten in ages. This must be one of the best tea shops we have ever been in around Nottinghamshire. Now the place was not cheap and it cost well over £30 for lunch, but it was spectacular. Don't listen to some of the other customer reviews here, the place is magnificent. Just remember you might have to book as we turned up unplanned and took a chance there might be a table available.
In summary, terrific food and great value for money.
