点评：I was invited for an afternoon of strawberry picking followed by afternoon tea as part of a local business networking event. Trust it to be the hottest day of the year but the strawberries were the reddest I’ve seen in years, beautifully ripe and plenty of them. I’ve never eaten on site as I’m a coeliac and it’s difficult to know what’s safe to eat out and about. However the staff seemed confident to cater for my condition and I was not disappointed. I was provided with afternoon tea that consisted of five small sandwiches, filled with smoke salmon, cream cheese, coronation chicken (the list goes on). Then I had two gluten free scones with clotted cream and jam. When I asked for a separate bowl of clotted cream because of cross contamination, the lady could not have been more helpful and certainly didn’t make me feel awkward for asking. They obviously care a lot about the service they are providing and it was a really lovely afternoon. Will certainly be bringing my family for afternoon tea now.
