The Who Shop的点评
点评：What a wonderful shop and museum!
A massive range of merchandise from classic to new Who from the mundane (DVDs, badges etc) to the exclusive to the shop and unique (autographs, fine art prints and so on).
The staff are proper fans, happy to chat at length about all things Who, the history of the shop and a wide range of stories about actors and crew who've visited. The shop seems to be unofficially approved by the BBC Doctor Who office and hosts signings and has actual props and costumes in abundance.
Which brings me to the museum. It's small but absolutely packed with costumes and props, most actually used in the show from as far back as the fourth ever story in 1964 to the present day. There are also a number of ((clearly labelled but very accurate) replicas of monsters, masks etc. One of the expert staff is one hand to chat at length. Tours last half an hour and cost £5 which is good value for any fan. Much of the museum has been donated or bought from the BBC.
Only two small downs. The shop is quite expensive, but not many places have the range of merchandise. It's also cash only, though there's a cash machine across the road..
I love the fact that it's a 'no spoiler zone' so caution is asked and used in discussing new stories in case anyone hasn't seen them!
Overall a strong recommendation for fans new and old.
