点评：We booked as a family of five for a special birthday meal. This was on a Sunday evening and getting a booking was not too difficult. We were welcomed and as we were early, we were told to wait a few moments for the table. We were taken to a table where we were expected to sit five on what was clearly a four seat table with a plate put in the middle of the crack between the two tables which were pushed to get together! This was unacceptable and not the way to celebrate a birthday!!
I refused the table and I was asked to wait a little longer. I was informed that this was their normal practice for tables of five. Pretty disappointing if that’s true. If it is it’s ridiculous. However, with some gentle persuasion from myself, I was able to get the more suitable table.
At the table the waiter and additional staff were fine. The food was all fine cocktails were interesting however the restaurant did not live up to the hype in my opinion. This is my second visit and on the first occasion I attended on a Saturday evening for drinks only.
It feels that if your face doesn’t fit or you are not seem to be a regular you’re not made to feel as welcome.
Whilst there was nothing wrong with the food, it just wasn’t special.
