点评:Just returned from a 9 night stay in London @ Draycott's of Chelsea....travelling as a family of 5 (my wife and I, 2 young sons, and my monther-in-law). As some other posters have reported, the customer service is seriously lacking at this "apart hotel" as they call themselves.
我们在伦敦切尔西Draycotts 酒店(Draycott's of Chelsea)住了九个晚上刚回来,我们是一家五口人一起旅行的(我老婆和我,两个小孩子,我岳母),正如一些其它发贴者所评论的,顾客服务在这家他们自称为是“阿帕特酒店 ”里严重缺乏。
Our instructions were to call the manager (Barbara) when we arrived in London...which we did when we were leaving Heathrow. She said that she would meet us at the hotel in 45-60 mins...sounds good.

When we arrived, no one was there...we knocked and waited but no answer. I then called Barbara's cell phone 2 more times but she did not answer. It wasn't until 2 other departing guests emerged from the building that we were let in....and they just shook their heads and said "good luck".

Once inside, we were able to find two nice cleaning ladies who were aparently supposed to also give us the key to our apartment. However, while nice, they spoke almost no English and just trying to explain that we wanted to find a place to leave our luggage while our apartment was being cleaned was extremely difficult.

I then suggested that I would like to speak to Barbara and one of the ladies called her on the phone...and she answered. I explained that we were having difficulty communicating with the staff on site and let her know that I thought she was going to be meeting us.

Her response was that she did not understand what I was saying...so I explained again. To that her response was "do you have the key?"...to which I responded "yes". She the asked "so what's the problem"? Interesting way to great a guest....and certainly not as traditional as "welcome" or "enjoy your stay".

I should note that I was not expecting any permanent staff on site, but I did expect the off-site staff to be professional and courteous.

Now, with that first impression behind us, we did basically enjoy our stay but that was mostly due to the location, the great weather, and the city as a whole.

I should also mention that there was a friendly fellow on site for a portion of our second day and I highlighted some deficiences to him and he said that he would try to get them addressed but I don't think he has the final say on any work done on site.

I would also mention that the 2 cleaning ladies we encountered when we first arrived very likely don't have anything related to greeting guests in their job descriptions so I don't blame them for the unpleasant experience we had when we first arrived.

I could go on at length about specific details but will instead summarize what we liked and did not like about Draycott's of Chelsea. Here is the Good, the bad, and the Ugly:

The Good:
- Location was terrific.
- close to Sloane Square Tube Station.
- Good bus service on King's Rd and decent bus service right from Draycott Pl.
- walking distance to museums near S. Kensington Tube Station (Science, Natural History, V&A).
- Grocery stores near by (Waitrose and M&S) on King's Rd.
- Laundry facilities worked well and were very clean and modern.
好的方面:
- 位置好极了

-国王路上不错的公交车服务,Draycott Pl提供的不错的公交车服务
- 能走着去靠近肯辛顿地铁站的博物馆(科学,自然历史, V&A)。

The Bad:
- A/C basically didn't work...not a big deal and I did not mention to the staff....I am mentioning here as it may be a bid deal to some.

- WiFi worked only occasionally in the apartment. Amongst our group we had 5 wifi-enabled devices that either all worked on all didn't work at a given time so it was not our equipment that was the problem. (mentioned to staff on second day but was not fixed during our stay)
- 公寓里的无线上网有时能上,在我们这个团队中,我们有五个需要用无线上网的设备,要么都能上,要么一定时间都不能上,因此不是我们设备的问题(在我们入住的第二天对员工讲了,但在我们的入住期间没有人来修)
- the phone did not work the entire time we were there. (mentioned to staff on second day but was not fixed during our stay)
- The safe. It literally fell apart on the first day (the door fell-off). (mentioned to staff but was not fixed during our stay)

- 安全盒。在第一天实际上都破了(门掉了)(对员工讲了但在我们入住期间没有人来修)
- Many of the finishings in the apartment seemed to be commercial grade so they were already starting to deteriorate due to use (flooring in master bedrrom starting to bubble, ensuite bathroom door knob, toilet paper holder, and shower door as examples). I expect this list to grow over time.

The Ugly:
- As previously mentioned, we found the customer service to be seriously lacking....probably no need to go into greater detail.

- Last, but not least, the superior 2 bedroom suite is not what it appears to be on the website. The website indicates that there are 2 "luxurious shower suites" in the unit and shows photos of the 2.

In the first photo, you can see a bathrrom with sink, toilet and shower. In the second, you can see a sink and toilet...since both are advertised as "shower suites", I assumed that there was also a shower.

My assumption was correct on the shower, however, one of the 2 "luxurious shower suites" only has a shower and sink.....where is the toilet that is in the photo?????

- linked to the previous bullet, there are 12 images of this suite on the Draycott's website....however, images 9, 11, and 12 are not of this suite so what you think you are renting is not in fact what you should expect when you arrive.

So, with so many short-comings, why 3 out of 5 stars? The place still represents decent value....just go in with the knowledge that it isn't everything that it appears to be.....
