点评:We went to Ask Italian to celebrate my sister's birthday. We ordered drinks to start. I was served a watered down aperol spritz that I took back and it was changed with no problem. We waited around 20 minutes for a bottle of wine that we ordered only to be told that staff could not remove the cork/ top of the bottle. It arrived around 10 minutes later. Starters came shortly after. Around 20 mins after the starters we were told that one of the ingredients for the calzone one of the party ordered was unavailable so they selected another main meal only to have the calzone served to them when the mains arrived. We pointed this out to the waitress and she apologised and said the second choice (king prawn pizza) was on the way. Another one of the mains (king prawn linguine) was very unsatisfactory as it came with one king prawn! When we questioned the staff about this we were told it had been prepared according to head office guidelines!! Also when a second bottle of wine was ordered we asked for an extra glass and got an extra glass of wine served to us!! In addition to this when we got the bill we were charged for the calzone which we had been told was unavailable and the replacement meal. We really did expect better service and there was no excuse for so many errors on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The blame lies with management who left inexperienced staff in charge of the restaurant. We definitely won't be visiting this branch of Ask Italian again.
