When planning a wedding, you dream of a venue that doesn’t just tick boxes — you hope for a space that feels welcoming, flexible, and full of good spirit. Bar Moda, under the heartfelt stewardship of Kate and Richard, delivered all of that and more — and with grace under pressure.
With only short notice, this fantastic team welcomed our reception into their venue as if we were family. Their willingness to adapt to last-minute catering changes and specific drink requests was not just helpful — it was extraordinary. Nothing felt like a hassle. Everything felt personal.
The atmosphere was warm and inclusive — you could feel that Bar Moda is run with care and pride. Every member of the bar staff brought their A-game: friendly, professional, and wonderfully attentive. It’s a rare thing to find that blend of laid-back charm and impeccable service — they nailed it.
The food was generous and delicious — the kind of buffet you hope for at a wedding: quickly devoured, highly praised, and remembered. And the drinks? Flowing freely and joyfully, from classics to custom favourites. Every guest — regardless of taste or generation — was catered to beautifully.
As for the party? The eclectic music carried us through the decades — catering for all in their 20s to those in their '70s still grooving. People laughed, hugged, raised glasses, and danced like no one was watching. The joy was tangible.
