点评：It started off badly and din't improve.
It should have rung a loud warning bell that we had to pay for our food before it arrived.
Our drinks took twenty minutes to appear. Our table was dirty and there was detritus under it - including cutlery - from previous diners. No one had bothered to clean up. With obvious reluctance, the waiter wiped our table when requested, but succeeded in distributing the food waste onto our laps. The clothes the staff were wearing was grubby and stained. Our roasts were almost completely inedible - Yorkshire puddings to rival concrete, roast potatoes that had been cooked until it was impossible to cut through them. The remainder of the veg was soggy. How is it possible to cook so badly in a commercial enterprise?
Our waitress told us that table service would end at 8 o'clock as the pub was short staffed and she had already worked way beyond her shift.
Poor management from the top has tainted the entire dining operation.
Our wine was properly chilled - we should have stuck with that.
