点评:I have no idea how I've not noticed this restaurant despite having walked past it many times! Visited for lunch, no starters, unfortunately, that took our fancy, so we headed for mains. We chose the mid week meat platter. On the board it said it came with three sides, but on ordering, we found you can't choose or swap any you dont like. We don't like macaroni cheese and we wanted the hispi so we had to order it on top, which was kinda annoying! The waitress said it was because the hispi side wouldn't fit into the serving dishes used for the platter, I'd rather have food I like than worry about the presentation. The meal was very nice though I found it too salty for my preference. It would be good if they separated the different steaks on the plate so you know what you're having. They kindly boxed up what was left - including the macaroni cheese - despite knowing we didn't like or want it, but I appreciate we didn't say not to. The service was really good, as was the wine. Although they have an open kitchen and are cooking steaks, its not at all smoky in there. Lovely decor too.
