点评:The venue is old with an ingrained stench of fried chips and grease. On the website and booking.com app it states that food is available at the location. This is not true. On arrival I was informed that the kitchen is not in use "out of season" - no breakfast of cooking facilities available. Local shop is not within walking distance (car needed). I arrived late on the day of checking (20 minutes over the 22:00 checking in time) and was charged £15 which had to be paid to a member of staff that had to attend the premises. The hotel is unmanned day and night. I later found out that other people were also charged on arrival for things beyond their control. One guest informed me that she was told her room was no longer available and was charge an additional £35 on checkin to upgrade her room. The place also operates as a hostel when out of season, the cleanliness and standard of this place is very poor and the people who occupy this building are friendly but they are not the type of people who you would expect to share a hotel with for business or pleasure trips. There is very limited parking which was a struggle on a daily basis. Broken glass alcohol bottles and refuse bags in the car parking area. I should have stayed for 6 nights but checked out a day early as I was unable to stay there any longer due to the poor standard of the place. It felt unclean and unsafe. There was no house keeping service and I slept in the same sheets for 5 days. Reception is unmanned and takes 30 or more minutes for someone to arrive (after calling the mobile number displayed at reception). I requested toilet paper and room service, I was gifted £1.19 toilet paper (from the happy shopper) by the reception man when he arrived and no room service. Not a place I would recommend or ever stay again. Booking.com also did nothing about my complaint (was on the phone for nearly 2 hours).
