Yarn的点评
点评：We stayed in Dartmouth on a self catering. We visited Yarn for a late brunch. The place was virtually empty on a busy Saturday.
I am fussy so what I found would not upset many people.
First off at sitting down the table had not been wiped down in a while. Crumbs and coffee stains. I brushed the crumbs off with the menu. I also noticed sugar grains all over the bench seat next to me.
On ordering the staff asked us what we wanted to drink without bothering to walk from the till. I had coffee and my family had drinks and food.
On the arrival of my black coffee in a white mug on a chipped saucer I noticed coffee splashes on the rim of the cup and on the outside of the cup. This is where my intolerance kicks in. I told the server who indicated it was due to the process of making the coffee. As an avid coffee drinker I have never had this before. To be fair he did ask if I wanted a clean cup, but by this point I was ready to walk out. I only stayed as not to put family through one of my many restaurant walk outs.
To cap it all one of the staff went and sat outside and lit up a cigarette. The smell wafted in, but I managed to restrain myself and just sat there.
To be fair my daughter did say the food was very nice. My wife drank my coffee to save any further embarrassment.
As a comparison the cafe two doors down was full even with people outside.
