点评:A bit of a mixed review for our visit. Whilst the staff were friendly and the food was tasty, the service was pretty slow. We chose vegan options as my daughter has a dairy allergy. They were fairly busy but we waited 1hr 15 for the main meals to arrive. A couple who arrived at the same time as us were leaving having had their meal when our mains arrived. A table next to us arrived a fair while after us and they were half way through their mains when our mains arrived. Not sure if having a food allergy meant a longer wait to prepare food.
Also, I don’t appreciate having a 10% service charged automatically added to my bill. I feel that this should be optional extra on the card reader which I can opt in/out of but it was on included in the total final amount I was given and added to the card reader amount without any mention by the waitress. I’m not one for making a fuss but given how long it took for the food to arrive, I probably wouldn’t have left a tip if it had been clearly optional and I could opt in/out of. This isn’t an issue with the Chester restaurant more an issue with the policy of Bella Italia.
