点评：The Cove Eatery officially opened inside the Causeway convenience store during the first week of December 2024. Brought to you by the same folks who operated the short-lived West Coast Tacos (summer 2024), this casual eatery specializes in Mexican cuisine – homemade burritos and rice bowls. A daily soup feature is also offered. For those wishing to dine in, there is a small seating area featuring a couple of booths; otherwise, The Cove is geared primarily towards “grab and go.”
Having tried a number of their rice bowls (beef, chicken and tofu), chicken burrito, and their house-made chilli, I can say I’m definitely a fan! The rice bowls use high quality protein, fresh and pickled veggies, resulting in a bright and beautiful flavour combination. The flavours are authentic and perfectly executed – just like their earlier venture @ West Coast Tacos. The big standout for me was definitely the chicken with crispy tofu rice bowl – absolutely delicious! I’m usually not a big tofu fan, but the crispy texture worked exceptionally well with the rice, veggies and salsa in the bowl.
For those in a pinch for time, The Cove also offers “grab and go” sandwiches and veggie trays in the Causeway’s cooler section. The sandwiches are made fresh daily and offer exceptional value for money and are a MAJOR improvement over what used to be here before.

RECOMMENDATION: Kudos to the new management at Causeway for upping their game and bringing The Cove Eatery into the vacant dining space. With their high quality ingredients and authentic Mexican flavours, The Cove offers something new and exciting to the burgeoning Daajing Giids foodie community. If you’re in need of a casual but filling bite, then check them out. Highly recommended!
