Plant-based Yaya Now Under New Ownership Continues Its Founding Commitments

点评：Plant-based, Yayu — now under the new ownership of Maude Rousseau — continues to commit to the principles of serving healthy nutritious foods, sustainability & environmental awareness, which founder- owner, Sharon Wu, put in place.
It was a popular & beloved Ucluelet eatery under Wu & with this continuance of ethos, is remains thus under Rousseau.
It is located in a west coast Canadian ocean village in which a good many of is full-time —circa 2,000 — residents adhere to the same ethos.
I have loved the plant-based spot since it open its doors.
It has a varied & interesting menu of a range of delicous & creative drinks, as well as bowls.
The menu under Rousseau is staying close to Wu’s original conception.
Yay.
Before buying Yaya, Rousseau, worked @ the plant-based eatery. She clearly liked what she saw in place & has stuck with the general “recipe”.
I love, too, that both ownerships often included turmeric in offerings, in both drinks & bowls.
Turmeric is such a good anti-inflammatory ingredient & gives all it is included in a nice subtle earthy taste.
It was an ingredient I included in much I made at home, from daily smoothies through to a lot of the bowls I crafted.
This next week of mid-May Yayu will now be open on Mondays - but not Tuesdays & Wednesdays — & its daily open hours are 9 am to 3pm.
It is centrally located in the ocean village locals affectionately refer to as Ukee, & near the inner habour, close to the wonderful Ucluelet Aquarium, Jamie’s Adventure Tours & other popular places, such as BlackBerry Cove Market Place with its terrific bookstore.
Lots of good reasons to go to Yayu.
