点评：After an early start, we spent the morning searching for property on the Bataan peninsula. The search proved fruitless, but pure luck brought us to a remarkable restaurant, Pupung Grill and Seabar on the waterfront in Mariveles. Dining is casual, silverware is optional, and our seafood platter was served with a box of disposable plastic gloves. The platter included mussels, gigantic shrimp, octopus tentacles, and tuna jaw. Everything was so fresh we could imagine it being pulled from the bay just before we arrived. We added a bit of garlic fried rice and the result was one of the finest seafood meals I have ever eaten.
The restaurant itself features a open air patio overlooking the bay as well as more conventional enclosed seating. Everything was spotlessly clean and the servers went out of their way to make us feel at home. Lunch for four of us totaled P2748 to which we added a substantial tip.
We plan to return whenever we are in the area and I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed if you have a chance to visit.
