点评：It is a good idea to witness the festival if you wish to see all of Nagaland in one spot. Art, culture, local cuisine, tribal lifestyle (of the 17 Naga tribes), including folk dance and music, foods, farms, attire and handicrafts - Definitely gives a good taste of it all in 10 days!
Biker squads come in from all over the country as well. Special Hornbill time night markets are set up on streets in Kohima. The city is all lit up and decorated for the festival that is followed by Christmas.
You get to see:
A replica of a Morung (house/ hut) of every tribe
Food stalls offering food from each tribe
handicraft Fair
Organic Foods for tasting and purchasing
Art exhibitions and art up for sale by local artisans and the Art & Culture Ministry
Modern style baked goods
Farmer's Union stalls selling goods and giving away free seeds
Various local and non-local artists/ bands perform
All tribes perform folk dances and enact note-worthy events such as cultivation, harvest, weaving etc.
The closing ceremony on the last day is the main day of attraction for the locals and visitors alike with a night party scene along with bonfire in a state that otherwise sleeps off early winding
Remember it starts to get dark by 4:30 pm after the sun sets
However, if you're looking at exploring the state on your own by traveling to various regions and meeting with he tribes in their rustic routine environment, you should consider going another time and not during the festival, where it is mainly covered in exotification.
