Nene Way walk
Higham Ferrers to Irthlingborough的点评
点评：I began this walk just off of the old railway track and crossed the ' dinosaur' Bridge into Higham Ferrers.
This bridge crosses over the A45 and then after walking through a small park and onto Higham Ferrers, the signs become very vague.
When you do this walk please follow the greenway signs as they lead back onto the Nene way.
After a 15 minute walk through Higham, I continued my walk until I crossed back over the A45 and followed a level walking track until I reached the old Northampton to Peterborough rail line which I crossed and continued over into Irthlingborough.
Signage again becomes a little difficult but I asked a local who pointed me towards a field which after passing a stunning church I did.
The field has a up and over crossing to negotiate and then I followed the grass track towards the A6 where I climbed another fence.
This section completed to continue, turn right onto the A6 and cross the road with caution before turning right into a small cut through which is well signposted just before the roundabout.
This takes you onto The Addingtons.
Overall a lovely walk which took me about 90 minutes.
There are public toilets in Wharf Road Higham Ferrers as well as plenty of places for a drink and food.
A very enjoyable walk of about 2.5 miles.
