点评：visited on a saturday in march but the whole street and village is very quiet. very few craftsmen at work. only 5 shops are open, including the copper workshops.
there are two ways to get to Lahic village:
Option 1: from the south, 40.73197006499704, 48.281357136684214
- this requires driving the narrow mountain road. it is paved for the most part, with small section with potholes and look unpaved but actually paved across the ironic river valley. it is very scenic, and the journey is not as scary as it looks.
- any 2WD sedan can make the drive any time of the year as long as it is not raining or snowing heavily.
- plus, if it is snowing or raining, i would advise you not to take this route even if you have a 4WD. the main risk here is landslide and a 4WD will not save your life. use Option 2 instead.
Option 2: from the north, via demirci, 40.836833, 48.560643
- this road cuts through snowy mountain pass (in March) and it is also scenic, but you will not see the postcard photo of the iconic Lahic river valley
- the entire drive is paved. there are some sections with wash out or sink hole, but overall, it is an easy and normal drive for any car.
whether you use option 1 or 2, you will ultimately end up here 40.84410785509903, 48.377352452485944 . this is the entrance to the Lahic village. no outside vehicles are allowed in, so just park by the road side. the villagers will ask you for 1 manat for parking.
